3008 Tape reader misread sprocket hole.
Tape fault
Remove the tape and inspect for any damage or mispunched holes (the faulty character should be under the reader head). Clean the reader head and lens, retry. If same error persists, even with different tape, then the tape reader is suspect and a replacement may be required.
